The allegations were spelt out in a number of documents just released by the Tribunal, which said the most serious charge related to a patient suffering from borderline personality disorder and post traumatic stress disorder.
Mendel claimed the patient was feigning her symptoms, though proceeded to prescribe "long acting anti-psychotic medicine".
"That conduct is malpractice and negligence on Dr Mendel's part and conduct bringing discredit to the medical profession," the Tribunal said.
It was also alleged - but not upheld - that Mendel told colleagues that giving her the medicine would "teach her a lesson".
"It won't be pleasant for her, and she won't do it again."
Note from PDV!: I'll be honest, this doesn't exactly sound like exceptional conduct in terms of punitive actions against people diagnosed with personality disorders, I think the real trouble has come from him being so gauche about it.
