"In February 2016 I was given a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (Narrow Spectrum whatever that might be!) by an Honorary Psychotherapist at the end of a difficult 50 minute session. I was in my mid 40s. The session had been difficult: it was very obvious to me from the start that the male mid 30s Psychotherapist was seriously out of his depth, disorganised and unaware of important information. I discovered from research that he only worked one (or on rare occasions two days) in the Psychotherapy team at the London Trust and he was a Politics and Philosophy graduate who had converted to Psychotherapy by obtaining the Birkbeck MSc in 2014. Much later it was disclosed that he had only started assessing patients in 2016 and, at most, could only have seen 3-4 patients as an assessor before my appointment in mid February. "
